Private project for new kitchen splashback and kitchen renovation.
Our customer has been after something different for their newly renovated home and has decided to use the kitchen splashback tiles to become the artwork for this open plan area.
Streetart has made its way into our homes and the tiles have been created from a photograph of Melbournes streetart laneway.
The image was enlarged to suit the area and divided over a number of tiles.
Each tile is numbered on the back to allow for safe installation and ensures they will not be mixed up. This powerful image has created a very cool kitchen splashback for our customer, while the rest is a cool white with concrete floor.
The kitchen can be seen from the entrance and living area, the tiles are the centre artwork of this open plan area.
Main kitchen splashback size is 3200x900mm with a smaller 600x900mm splashback opposite.
Tiles used are in the size of 300x300mm with a matte finish.
